Meals and accomodation: All meals during the trip are included. You can expect a hearty breakfast in the mornings, hot lunches, and satisfying dinners featuring options like grilled fish, salted meat, or similar. There will be a barbecue on the last day. Vegan and vegetarian options will also be available.

The cabins are traditional mountain cabins, and you must bring your own sleeping bag and pillow.

The horses: There are 2-5 horses pr. rider and you will ride multiple horses every day. The loose once run along as a herd and we will do horse swapping as needed to ensure not to exhaust the individual horses.

Note for horse owners in Iceland: You can bring your own horses and prices will be accordingly reduced. Horses must be fit and familiar to herd running “rekstur” in order to take part.

Price and payment: Prices are from 220.000 ISK, for the shortest tours to 330.000 ISK for the longest tours. The confirmation fee is 20% of the total price and is non-refundable. The remaining amount must be paid four weeks before the trip begins. The deadline to reserve your spot is 1st of April

Þórsmörk

Three days of Adventure in the Thorsmörk Nature Reserve

We’ll meet at Gamle bru, where we’ll start with a lunch and go over the details of the trip. We will ride along the mountain range towards Húsadal crossing numerous small and larger streams.

Once we arrive, we can enjoy a hot meal and a cozy mountain cabin. The next day, we’ll take a more relaxed ride through the forest and into Almeningar. On the final day, we’ll drive the horses back to Gamle bru.

Tindfjalla / Fjallabak

26th–29th June 2025, 4 days, 3 nights
The Perfect 4 days Mountain Ride

We’ll begin in Fljótshlið through the woods and the Vatnsdal valley, heading towards the charming cabin Foss, famous for its grass-covered roof and the mighty river nearby. Our journey continues as we ride through the mountains towards Hungurfit. On the third day, we’ll cross Krokur and pass through Þverárbotnar, concluding the day with an overnight stay at the cozy cabin in Emstrur. On the final day, we’ll ride over the striking mountain Einhyrning, making our way back to Fljótshlið to close the loop on this unforgettable adventure.

Landmannalaugar

14th–18th July 2025, 5 days, 4 nights
The famous geothermal site

Our adventure begins in Gunnarsholt as we ride towards Rjúpnavellir. From there, we follow the river and end up in Landmannahellir, where we spend the night. The next day, we head to Landmannalaugar, where you can soak in hot springs and explore the area.
On the following day, we pack our saddle bags with lunch and ride over the mountain towards Hólaskogur, enjoying a fantastic day entirely immersed in the wilderness. Unlike the other cabins Hólaskogur offers a beautifully renovated cabin for our stay. On the final day, we ride back to Rjupnavellir and return to Gunnarsholt.

Mýrdalsjökull

Up close and personal with the infamous volacano Katla

Day 1 – Vik – Hrífunes. Sleeping in Tungusel.
Day 2 – Hrífunes – holmsarfossar. Sleeping in Tungusel.
Day 3 – Hólmsarfossar – Hvanngil. Sleeping in Hvangil.
Day 4 – Hvanngil – Emstrur. Sleeping in Emstrur.
Day 5 – Emstrur – Torfastöðum.
