Riding in Skagafjörður
Riding tours 1-3 hours:
Helluland offers a variety of riding tours suitable for beginners and more experienced riders. Each trip is tailored for the participants so that all will safely enjoy the landscape while riding the rural wilderness, free from cars and other urban “interferences”. Horses are selected based on riders experiences.
Longer tours and other experiences:
Helluland also offers accommodation at the farm where riders enjoy a special discount. Other experiences, such as yoga, photography and horse massage, are performed in cooperation with qualified parters in the respective fields.
About the operator:
Luka Dreiner and Andrés Magnússon own and operate the farm Helluland in North Iceland. Luka is born in Cologne and has lived in Iceland since 2011. She is a bachelor of sciences in tourism from the Hólar university. Organising riding tours in north Iceland combines her education and her passion for horses. Andrés is born and raised in north Iceland. Having been around horses “from day one” he is loaded with experiences of horses: training, riding, breeding etc. Andrés manages the farm and his greatest passions is to ride and guide on long tours.
