Húsey

Húsey from Hjallanesi is a four gated mare with strong relation to the Orri son Roði from Múla who is three out of four of her great grandfathers. The forth one is Kolfinnur from Kjarnholtum, father of Ágústínus from Melaleiti, Húseys grandfather on her fathers side.

The temperament of Húsey is as good as can be. She is not afraid of anything and likes to be around humans. Plastic bags, cars, dogs, water poodles and what ever else might frighten the common horse does not bother this lady at all. Due to these qualities in addition to good building clear and soft gates we decided to breed from her. Her first offspring, Svartskeggur from Nýlendu, seems to have inherited her qualities. In summer 2024 Húsey was with the stallion Kjerúlf from Kollaleyru who recently was awarded with honorary price for offsprings.
